Chromebook Technician – Technology
IMMEDIATE OPENING
The Montgomery County School Board, Virginia has an immediate opening and is now accepting applications for a Chromebook Technician position that is available in the division.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chromebook Technician performs routine computer repair. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, completing assigned work orders, computer repair, installation, configuration, assembly, and removal, installation and configuration of peripheral devices, general troubleshooting, and keeping current with technology hardware and software trends. The computer technician acts as a liaison between the IT department and the schools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or higher
Valid VA driver’s license with a clean driving record
Knowledge of computer hardware repair including Chromebooks
Experience with software installations, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience with cloning computers
Ability to configure computers for Ethernet and wireless networks
Ability to identify and report technology issues to the appropriate authorities
Ability to perform tasks independently
Ability to promote and develop cohesive technology environment in cooperation with end users
Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality
Ability to multi-task, work with interruptions, and work under pressure
Ability to be dependable and punctual
