Title: Chief of Staff to the President

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Company President, Evan Yurman, the Chief of Staff (CoS) will translate and synthesize data, draw insights, and develop compelling presentations to tell the business story to key stakeholders. The CoS will also oversee the successful execution of the executive team’s annual and multi-year strategies, monitor key organizational performance metrics, and will oversee special projects.

A strong candidate will be wired for business consulting, and a highly motivated data and PowerPoint expert, who is professional, and loves working on a fast-moving team. You need to be a quick learner and tech-savvy.

What you’ll do:

  • The CoS will interface with all members of the DY executive team to provide visibility to strategic deliverables and milestones, and will ensure that a high level of collaboration and cooperation occurs across the executive team
  • Lead the preparation of analyses and presentations for various internal, external, and board meetings
  • Build strong relationships with other departments to foster cross-functional partnerships
  • Act as an extension of the President in appropriate settings to oversee meetings or entire projects
  • Oversee assigned strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution in partnership with the Transformation Office and departmental heads
  • Act as an advisor to the President on both strategic and tactical matters to determine and prioritize decisions, manage time, prepare materials, and brainstorm strategic objectives
  • Provide high-level, quick, and in-depth analysis of business performance, policies, politics, and industry trends
  • Create presentation materials, background briefs and talking points; and maintain post-meeting debriefs and follow up communication to relevant stakeholders
  • In partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer and on behalf of the President, support the writing of op-eds, e-mails, articles, speeches, memos, and thank you letters to strategic partners, industry leaders, and key partners
  • Produce consolidated reporting to the President, including reporting of internal documents that require coordinating data and information from around the organization
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to the President’s Executive Assistant and other Executive Support team members
  • Manage near and long-term meeting agendas for President, and screen requests for time/opportunities, gather backgrounds on meeting attendees, ensure needed support from team in attendance and meeting materials
  • In partnership with the Chief Strategy Officer, strategize, develop, and track key performance metrics for the organization to inform the President and the executive team on status and improvement opportunities
  • Work with Finance to manage the annual budget for the Office of the President

Required Experience:

  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in a related/similarly paced industry (fashion, consumer, retail, management consulting), with preference to business consulting skills

Personal Skills/Competencies:

  • Exceptional project manager with extraordinary organization skills and experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • High gear operator who doesn’t take no for an answer
  • Superb judgment and integrity, unparalleled confidentiality, and sophistication in all aspects of work
  • Knowledge of optimized reporting of technical KPI’s, KRI’s and financial metrics
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong data visualization skills (PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI) to tell a compelling story
  • Meaningful and demonstrated history of operational efficiency and optimization
  • Knowledge of optimized reporting of technical KPI’s, KRI’s and financial metrics

Technical Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong command of technology (MS Office, PowerBI, MS Teams, video conferencing, Asana, etc..)
  • Outstanding data mining skills, analysis, insight development, and presentation development to convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Education: Bachelors degree required with a strong preference for candidates with an MBA or similar post-graduate degree.

Travel: As needed

Estimated Salary Range: $180,000-$230,000
