Summary:
The Chief Marketing Officer is key to helping the Banks increase revenue while delivering on our Mission. Responsible for all aspects of marketing, the Chief Marketing Officer oversees formulation and execution of the marketing strategy, including advertising, brand management, market research, marketing communications, public relations, sales enablement support, and product management for Dickinson Financial Corporation’s subsidiary banks. The CMO will devise a strategy unique to each brand, excel at executing on the strategy, and use data and proven testing methods to ensure return on investment and refinement of the marketing strategy. A successful CMO works collaboratively with all business lines, adapts easily to company and industry changes, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and inspires others.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for formulating and executing marketing strategy, consistent with overall business strategic objectives, to drive revenue, increase market share, and achieve optimal brand awareness.
- Oversees development and implementation of advertising campaigns and content strategy through all channels-digital and traditional, on-line, mobile, social, websites, in-branch, etc.-for new and existing products and services.
- Manages brand and reputation, including differentiating between the two bank brands and amplifying each brand both internally and externally.
- Develops and oversees sales enablement functions to include working with lines of business on lead generation, making marketing collateral available, assisting with reward and recognition, and consulting on best practices.
- Oversees public relations to include external awards and recognition and communications to support the organization internally and externally.
- Develops, uses, and reports out metrics that focus on return on investment and effectiveness of marketing tactics.
- Develops and responsibly manages marketing budget to optimize spend.
- Maintains professional contacts and knowledge base within and outside of the financial institution, keeping up with issues, trends, and best practices in banking and marketing while fostering innovation.
- Stewardship over client data used to determine effectiveness of business, including product, client, and household profitability.
- Manages and creates strong partnerships with outside marketing vendors, including all aspects of selection and accountability.
- Works closely with Center of Excellence for Client and Associate Experience to ensure service to associates, clients, and communities is consistent with brands.
- Oversees company store to include easily accessible marketing materials and logo gear.
- Directly manages team of three to six associates, including developing and refining strategy around necessary skillsets, hiring, training, developing, inspiring, and when appropriate discipline and termination in consultation with Human Resources.
- Understands, embodies, communicates and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the Company’s core Six Pillars of Success values and ensures an inclusive workplace. Actively leads team according to Six Pillars of Success.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
