This Chef position is part-time working primarily between the hours of 7AM to 7PM with an every other weekend rotation. This position is responsible for the inventory, ordering, preparation, presentation, serving, clean up and storage of meals.

Other duties are as follows.

  • Responsible for following the prepared menu and assuring adequate supplies for the preparation of the meal.
  • Assuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, panty and dining room. Assures compliance with state sanitation code.
  • Maintains quality of food services. Assures that residents food needs and preferences are known.
  • Supervises food service functions
  • Reports problems, concerns, issues observed with food service and communicates them appropriately.
  • Observes all work, safety and administrative rules
  • Maintain menus and orders as directed.
  • Additionally, this position is responsible for weekly inventory and the ordering of groceries following menu cycle, noting any changes.
