Job description

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

· Engineer will be performing 3D and 1D simulation and analysis for combustion models and engine systems models. Fundamental understanding of combustion and thermal systems is required. 3D simulation is currently done using STAR-CD and 1D simulation modeling is done in GT Power.

Typical Day:

· Typical day is 7:30 to 4:30 (1 hour lunch); flexible hours around this time frame, weekdays. Currently the team works in a hybrid fashion. 2 to 3 days "in-office", other days work from Home.

Education Requirements:

· Mechanical engineering (or similar) degree, and 5 to 7 years of engine related simulation experience. (combustion in particular)

· Masters or PHD desired.

Technical Skills:

· Fundamental understanding of engine combustion and engine operation is required.

· Familiarity with 3D CFD simulation tools (STAR CD is desired)

· Familiarity with 1D simulation tools (GT Power is desired)

Soft Skills:

· Ability to handle multiple projects at a time, and meet critical deadlines.

· Ability to work with a diverse group of skillsets and individuals.

· Self starter and desire to learn and keep up with technology.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $46.00 - $50.00 per hour
