The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) has an opening for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and is ready to add YOU to our amazing team at the Veterans Home in Pocatello!

As a CNA you assist residents to maximize their independence by providing exemplary care ranging from basic needs to activities of daily living.

Employees working evening or night shift receive an additional 5% shift differential.

Example of Duties

  • Performs personal nursing care for elderly residents.
  • Determines resident needs and takes and records vital signs.
  • Provides personal hygiene care and maintains a safe and sanitary resident-care environment.
  • Lifts, positions, transports, and escorts residents and assists with walking and other body movements.
  • Feeds residents who require assistance and implements individual resident treatment plans as outlined by supervisor.
  • Records resident care, reporting changes in physical or mental status to health-care team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification:

  • Possession of Nursing Assistant Certification and listed on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry
