Certified Medication Assistants (CMA) - Full Time AM and PM

• Job Duties: Under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse, the medication assistant administers and records select scheduled medications to residents of LindenGrove. The C.M.A is trained to measure and record blood pressure, radial pulse and blood glucose readings by way of a fingerstick and is also trained to perform clean wound treatments.

• Has successfully completed the State of Wisconsin Approved Medication Assistant Training Program or has successfully completed an approved college level pharmacology course and training in the area of medication administration.
• Is a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Registry in Wisconsin in good standing.
• If candidate is a nursing student, must also have written documentation from the nursing instructor on College letterhead that requirements relating to pharmacology and medication administration have been taught and demonstrated in a lab setting;.
• Nursing Students must also provide a copy of college transcripts indicating candidate is currently enrolled in a nursing program and has successfully completed a pharmacology course following each semester.
• Must adhere to all safety, security, infection control (including Universal Precautions) and hazardous materials policies and procedures, and perform all tasks to assure resident and personal safety.
