Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt Position
OFFICE LOCATION: 400 International Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Primary functions of this role will involve reviewing, analyzing,
and coding diagnostic, office visits and procedural information which will determine Medicare, Medicaid
and private insurance payments. The primary function of this position is to perform ICD-9/10-CM, CPT
coding for medical reimbursement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strong knowledge of surgical and/or specialty coding
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 and familiarity with ICD-10
Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of surgery coding
Analyzing and resolving issues with missing charges and/or coding information
Ongoing communication with providers regarding documentation and various
billing/coding matters

IDEAL CANDIDATE(S):
Possess MEDENT EMR experience
Fundamental understanding of compliance guidelines
Maintain certification in one or morning of the following certifications: CCS, CMC, CPC
Experience with coding for disciplines such as neurosurgery, neurology, rheumatology, primary
care, interventional pain management, physiatry, chiropractic, physical therapy
Preferred candidates have strong knowledge of workers compensation and/or no fault
