Jones-Harrison is currently seeking compassionate Certified Med Tech (CMT) /Train Medication Aides (TMA) to join our team! The TMA administers medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a nurse and performs Nursing Assistant responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Near St. Louis Park

CMT Open Shifts: Full-Time or Part-Time Days

JCMT Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Administers medications under direct supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Reports all medication errors immediately to the nurse and completes the necessary documentation
  • Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, eating, bathing, and socializing
  • Monitoring of resident’s condition changes & reporting to the nurse
  • Transferring and lifting of residents/accommodating mobility status
  • Build rapport and relationships with residents within the community

CMT Education/Experience/Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing and active on the MN Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Must have current TMA certification
  • Experience in health care or long-term care preferred, but not required
  • Maintains basic knowledge in pharmacology, familiar with dosages, intended uses for medications, side effects and contraindications

CMT Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests & abilities
  • Committed to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff
  • Ability to work independently and dependably to efficiently deliver care to meet resident needs
  • Ability to work with residents and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Maintain continuing education credits as required
  • Basic computer skills with experience or ability to learn electronic health record systems
