CDL Driver and Rental Equipment Maintenance
Star Equipment, Ltd. - a family owned company serving Iowa for 55 years, is looking for quality employees to help maintain our reputation as Iowa's premier supplier of high-quality construction equipment, rentals, service, and supplies. Star Equipment has 4 locations - Ames, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Waterloo. We have an immediate opportunity for:
CDL Driver/Rental Equipment Maintenance - Des Moines (1401 2nd Ave)
This position is responsible for the handling of equipment in our rental yard. You would need good people skills as you are often the first and the last contact after a piece of construction equipment is rented to the customer. If you have light mechanical skills and are open to a new opportunity, come see what Star Equipment has to offer, we provide on-the-job training.
Duties to include:
Equipment handling -- from small water pumps to telehandlers
CDL driver:
Checking the condition of the equipment for safety and operational purposes
Maintenance/light mechanical on Equipment
Check for Proper Safe Guards
Washing Rental Equipment
Job Requires:
Clean driving record and Class A CDL
Ability to operate or be willing to learn the operation of construction equipment
Ability to Lift 100 lbs
General Knowledge of Construction Equipment
Working in adverse weather

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:
- Heavy & Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers: 1 year (Preferred)
- Construction equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
