As a Catering Manager, you will oversee the catering team who will be the face of our restaurant and will be expected to uphold these values as you assist in extending the "Chick-fil-A Experience" to our off-site guests. Catering Managers are expected to guide strategic planning and maintain processes. Catering Managers will help their team deliver meals in a timely manner to individual guests and companies through both Catering and hosting occasional Marketing events in the Fort Wayne community ranging from assisting with Spirit Nights at the store, social media, and community outreach. With being a Catering Manager, you have the unique ability to be an advocate for our restaurant and its values.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about growing sales for our catering team and providing an exceptional guest experience. This individual would be professional, courteous, hardworking, high-energy, as well as flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to connect with our guests outside of the restaurant as a representative of our brand. A successful Catering Manager will be able to work efficiently both individually and within a team, follow all proper procedures, hold team members accountable to these proper procedures, and assist in extending Chick-fil-A's genuine hospitality to every guest and individual they interact with both within and outside of the restaurant.
In-Restaurant Responsibilities:
- Work closely with operations and kitchen staff to ensure the Restaurant has all food and paper goods needed to prepare upcoming catering orders.
- Ensure the catering equipment and catering area in the Restaurant are clean and organized.
- Continuously evaluate all Customer experiences and create a culture of continuous improvement and communicate operational improvement ideas to Operator.
In-Community Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for the brand by building relationships with local community members.
- Maintain and continue to grow existing catering relationships (e.g., surprise a guest at work with his or her favorite Chick-fil-A menu item, mail a handwritten thank-you note thanking a guest for his or her partnership with Chick-fil-A, etc.).
- Distribute marketing materials to potential catering Customers to build awareness of Chick-fil-A Catering.
Skills and Expectations:
- Proven self-starter
- Strong leadership skills
- Capable and passionate about building relationships with guests
- Strong organizational, planning and project management skills
- Ability to keep proper records and documentation of sales
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented and observant
- Ability to multi-task, delegate authority when appropriate, and make decisions quickly
- Resilient – able to handle setbacks
- Sales experience not required, but is preferred
Full-time Catering Manager starts at $20/hr and then raises to $21/hr after a 30-day training period.
**Mid-day to evening availability is preferred
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 18+ years old
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous leadership experience
- Team-oriented
- Adhere to all necessary Operational Standards of cleanliness
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have a source of reliable transportation
- Marketing experience a plus
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in orders and/or inventory
- Must be flexible with working different areas and a shifting schedule
