1st shift: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 pM

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS BASIC REQUIREMENTS UPON HIRE
§ Must be able to communicate in English – both writing and speaking.
§ Recent TB test clearance required prior to 1st day of orientation.
§ Recent Negative COVID-19 test (no more than 7 days earlier from 1st day of orientation).
§ Experience in performing caregiving tasks for seniors required.
§ Free of communicable diseases (or related field of study).
§ Must pass drug screening.
§ Experience with general housekeeping required.
§ Annual flu shot required.
§ Able to: stoop/bend frequently, lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods.
§ Criminal record clearance, no record on Employment for long periods with or without reasonable accommodations. Misconduct Registry or Nurse Aide Registry
§ Knowledge of general infection control measures required.
§ Proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include but not limited to the following :

1. Adhere to and convey a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of each resident.
2. Report any abuse, suspected abuse or alleged abuse to the appropriate agency(s) and authorities.
3. Respond to emergencies and/or evacuation procedures in an appropriate manner as per training received as well as within the scope of your capabilities – and, hopefully, common sense.
- Promote and practice safety at all times; communicate well and be alert and vigilant while on duty.
Must assist teammates with resident oversight and/or care should an urgent or emergent need arise.
4. Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
Review ISPs as needed to gain and maintain familiarity with resident needs and preferences.
Review service notes/hand-off report on a daily basis for information about changes in resident service needs and/or health conditions for effective continuity of care between Attendants.
–coordinate, communicate, report, and document timely and accordingly.
- Stay observant of resident’s behavioral changes in needs and preferences from his/her established ISP and make changes or updates as necessary while maintaining reporting obligations to the RN.
5. As assigned and as established on each resident’s ISP, provide personal services and support in:
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating, bowel/bladder care, transferring/mobility.
- Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs): laundry, room maintenance, assistance with using communication lines, appointment reminders.
Assist residents with medications and/or treatments as indicated in the medication profile, as assigned/delegated by the RN and allowed by regulation.
6. Assist with meal services: cooking if needed, setting tables, serving, feeding, preparing snacks, clean up.
May be required to learn and demonstrate food handling safety.
7. Assist with individual resident and group social / recreational activities and/or special events as planned; encourage resident participation in activities to promote physical and mental health; lead activities as assigned; companionship.
8. Assist in keeping the facility and its functions compliant with the local and state regulations.
9. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow strict infection control procedures and COVID-19 protocol.
- Follow Standard Precautions – assume all bodily fluids and materials/surfaces have the potential to transmit disease. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required as the situation warrants and as adequate supplies allow.
Frequent hand washing and good personal hygiene required (Yes, including keeping your body odor and breath in check).
10. Assist in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by performing housekeeping services daily.
- Must follow infection control procedures and be knowledgeable of proper personal protective equipment use to prevent contamination/ cross-contamination.
11. Participate in educational/informational in-services, online modules, and/or meetings.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned by administrator.
13. Have a personal initiative to maintain, promote, or enhance operational efficiency and business success of the Vivid Life Residential Care company without causing untoward effects on the aforementioned company and its clients and/or affiliates.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Masks are required at all times while in the facility until further notice. High touch surfaces are sanitized regularly.
