Salary Range: $31.0400 - $47.7300 /hour
The Cardiovascular Tech performs hospital-wide noninvasive electrocardiographic testing and works with the EKG Order and Management Systems. This includes hooking up 12 lead EKG monitors, performing tests, and downloading and preparing readings for cardiologist confirmation. This position also programs Holter Monitors which includes preparing exam rooms, preparing patients and performing lead placements, and receiving the monitor back. May scan Holder monitor recordings. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of a program for EKG techs or comparable experience.
- One year of experience performing 12 lead EKGs and hooking up Holter monitors preferred. Experience with Cardiologic Stress Testing and/or EKG rhythms preferred.
Certifications Required:
- BLS - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association
