This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology practice in northern Phoenix! This is a fantastic position for an ambitious Medical Assistant looking to grow their career and potentially develop into a leadership role. Cardiology experience is preferred but not required. This is NOT a high volume clinic, therefore there will be ample time to complete other office tasks, such as prior authorizations and new patient scheduling. Positive client-facing skills are a must! Our team currently consists of one Physician with potential plans for adding additional providers in the near future. The anticipated start date will be late mid-May for training/orientation. Salary is based on experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner.
• Answer patient phone calls and requests, schedule appointments, greet/room patients.
• Provide general office support; including faxing, copying and scanning, filing, data entry.
• Perform EKGs.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
• Calculate patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits. Collect deposits and co-payments.
• Preparing documents for the Board of Medicine by compiling documents, developing system to track correspondence.
• Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
• Ensures medical records are pulled and ready. Initiates obtaining needed records from appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in medical assistant duties and practice flow.
• Cardiology Experience Preferred.
• Reliable, motivated, proactive in solving problems.
• Must have experience with electronic medical records.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
