The Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration of electronic and mechanical test equipment. Ensures all instruments used in product acceptance are calibrated to a known schedule using established standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing routine electrical and mechanical tests and calibrations on test and measurement equipment(T&ME) and manufacturing equipment (ME).
  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electronic measuring equipment and signal generating equipment, to ensure conformance to set standards.
  • Tests, adjusts, and maintains manufacturing equipment. Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications, drawings, and requirements
  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment and manufacturing equipment such as defective components, internal modules, and drive systems.
  • Performs all necessary tests efficiently and accurately by following established written procedures; writes legibly, signs, dates, and files documentation when steps are completed.
  • Responsible for making sure that all equipment meets established test and/or calibration specifications and for notifying management when they do not.
  • Ensures that test equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using and notifies management if expired or close to expiration. Communicates with management concerning any problems with product testing equipment and manufacturing equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding and using proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
  • Follows safety rules and keeps area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Accurately completes data entry in the calibration system.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience with hands-on of RF test equipment and mechanical tools.

Education: Two-year technical degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent.

Security: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required. May be required to obtain a security clearance.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess excellent customer service/relations skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in using varies Mechanical/Electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to function in a successful team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
