Power Dental Studio is a full-service state-of-the-art dental laboratory specializing in a wide variety of dental procedures including CAD/CAM restorations, fixed and removable implant cases, flexible partials, full and partial dentures and much, much more.
We are currently seeking an onsite Full-Time CAD/CAM Designer – Dental
The position is Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week expected
JOB DUTIES
The CAD/CAM Technician will construct and manufacture high quality medical grade oral devices through CAD/CAM software as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
- Proficiency with crown and bridge design
- CAD/CAM software - 3Shape, 1+ years preferred
- Strong experience with CAD/CAM production environments using 3D printers and milling machines
- Design contour and finish ceramic restorations
- Ability to design expert crown and bridge framework, including copings, veneers, anatomical copings, cutbacks, split files, full contour crowns
- Able to work from customer models and interpret specifications to deliver the best custom device and finished product for that application.
- Quality control restorations and related components
- Operate, monitor, and maintain digital lab equipment
- Develop and improve lab production processes
- Play a critical role in the development of the lab
- Possess minimum 1 year of experience in dental technology
- Strong experience with milling and finishing custom titanium abutments
- Act as quality assurance for the specific product
- Inspect parts as they are produced including microscopic inspection
- Make sure the finished goods quality is appropriate to requirements
- Operate with minimal supervision
- Ability to build programs and workflows, navigate ambiguity, and iterate quickly and proactively
- Careful handling and processing of client property and finished goods to avoid damage
- Close verbal and written communication with the customer throughout the order process
- Communicate with members of the management team
- Maintain only the highest degree of professionalism and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate expert problem-solving skills
