SUMMARY:
- Ensures the timely and accurate supervision of convenience store operations, including supervision of convenience store team members and the receipt, distribution, exchange, transfer, inventory and balancing of money/assets.
- GNR Manager is responsible for the maximization of sales and gross profit dollars for store/fuel operations.
- Maintains adequate staffing, trains and schedules team members to meet or exceed the guest service expectations of patrons.
- Supervises convenience store operations in compliance with the State of Colorado regulation, ICMPs and other applicable municipal, state and federal laws or regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing and assortment in all areas; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
- Controls shrinkage, expenses and payroll.
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
- Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
- Manages and directs the day-to-day operation of areas of responsibility through assigned departmental supervisors.
- Provides coaching, guidance and instruction to Team Members in the proper performance of their duties.
- Provides at least weekly reports and recommendations to their supervisor as to that week’s performance in all areas and on ways to improve.
- Directs and, when free, participates in the regular and frequent cleaning and dusting of the store, and arrangement of the stock.
- Ensures cash and inventory variances, daily reports and bank deposit accuracy.
- Responsible for assuring all delivery invoices are correct and that all deliveries are received in acceptable condition.
- Ensures all regulatory requirements are implemented and followed.
- Assists with hiring, transfers, terminating of Team Members within the scope of responsibility in accordance with established Policy and Procedures. Assists with schedules, and ensures all shifts are properly staffed.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Must be able to work well with co-workers/supervisors/managers/directors.
- Supervises GNR operations in compliance with departmental policy and procedures, the State of Colorado regulations, ICMP and other applicable municipal, state, and federal laws or regulations.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises the activities of Gas N’ Roll team members.
- Mentor and develop the GNR department, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
- Plans growth opportunities for team members who display the necessary skills, motivation and attitude to progress within the company.
- Provides for the fair and equitable treatment of all team members.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Perform reviews on team members, paperwork, authorize vacations, etc.
- Address any scheduling conflicts, payroll discrepancies, etc.
