What you will do: :
The Buyer is responsible for facilitating the timely order flow of materials, components, and supplies to support production. They issue purchase orders to approved suppliers, ensure just-in-time delivery of components, expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, optimize inventory levels, maintain compliance to approved supplier list and agreement terms and conditions. Buyers support and implement Supply Chain initiatives and best practices.

What you will do: :
The Buyer is responsible for facilitating the timely order flow of materials, components, and supplies to support production. They issue purchase orders to approved suppliers, ensure just-in-time delivery of components, expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, optimize inventory levels, maintain compliance to approved supplier list and agreement terms and conditions. Buyers support and implement Supply Chain initiatives and best practices.
Primary Responsibilities: :
- Purchase materials, components, equipment, and services from a variety of sources, including maintaining associated MRP system requirements
- Obtain schedule and delivery confirmations from suppliers and responsible for updating the system accordingly
- Validate and communicate schedules and forecasts to suppliers
- Manage and update workbench and ERP data
- Resolve part shortages and manage supplier expedites
- Communicate and collaborate with Demand Analysts to ensure MRP accuracy
- Utilize MRP systems and reporting functions to monitor and be accountable for driver metrics, assist with resolving issues, and proposed action plans
- Drive cost reduction projects
- Review and validate the Supplier Report Card on a monthly basis
- Recommend alternative ordering methods (i.e. Blanket Purchase Order, Kanban, VMI and Outside Processing) that incorporates lean concepts to improve overall effectiveness of the Purchasing department
- Support and assist with the maintaining Kanban and Plan for Every Part (PFEP) programs
- Support engineering changes and communicate to suppliers
- Manage MRB and return to vendor (RTV)
- Support the Purchasing team workload balance with a “can do attitude” and helping the team as required
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
- Understand and live by the Korry’s culture and business conduct policies
Basic Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Operational Excellence.
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Must be proficient with MS Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Operations Management or Engineering
- ERP, MRP experience a plus
- Familiarity with supply chain process and operational excellence
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing
- Problem-solving aptitude
- High attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills
