CTL Engineering is seeking an experienced Business Office Representative to join our team.

CTL Engineering is a full-service consulting engineering firm, which provides environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

Career Opportunity - Business Development Representative with CTL Engineering in Columbus, OH

Do you excel at building long-term, consultative relationships with clients? Do you have experience selling to the AEC services industry? Are you wanting to work for a leader in their industry? If you answered yes, we want to speak to you!
As a Business Development Representative at CTL Engineering, you will work closely with the Business Development Manager as well as internal department leaders and identify and follow up on sales leads to develop project/business opportunities. You will assist in the develop Qualification Statements, Letters of Interest, and proposals based on opportunities uncovered or presented. You will target prospective clients to promote CTL services and develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients. You will research market trends to identify viable clients, programs, and markets that align with company goals including yearly departmental revenue objectives.

Territory includes
An already well-established book of clients in Central, Western, Northwestern, and Southwestern Ohio.

To be considered, you will have the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Management, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent experience and education.
  • 10+ years of business development and sales in the engineering/construction services field in Ohio.
  • Strong knowledge of the AEC industry and prior experience selling to a variety of markets including Healthcare, Transportation, Water, Wastewater Infrastructure, Aviation, Energy, and Schools.
  • Proven Track record of creating and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong ability to achieve agreed-upon contract and proposal generation goals.
  • Strong ability to negotiate, develop, and close new business.
  • Prior experience using CRM and other sales tools to generate and close deals.
