Job Description
As a Business Development Manager for education and healthcare vertical, you will mainly be responsible for increasing VIVOTEK brand sales by creating demand and project leads through business development. You will work with the RSM (Regional Sales Manager) on the business side and SE (Sales Engineer) on the technical side. You will work together with the engineering (HW/FW) team to provide tailor made products, if necessary.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, building, and optimizing relationships with end-users, consultants, system integrators. You will use your skills and tools to engage more business leads, including but not limited to participating at tradeshows/summits, utilizing social media, visiting customers, etc. You will be the expert for VIVOTEK USA in the education and healthcare vertical.
In addition to the business skill, you will be familiar with all VIVOTEK solutions. Be capable of demoing VIVOTEK solutions, including cameras, software and cloud systems. Will work with the Sales Engineer team for support with advanced technical functions. After getting feedback from the end-user, system integrator, or learning market trends, will be responsible for sharing information to product manager team regularly to ensure VIVOTEK USA has a strong presence in these verticals.
This position is to cover all North America market and requires extensive traveling.
Responsibilities
- Search, open, develop opportunities in education and healthcare.
- Work with RSM to win and close the projects. When advanced technical assistance is needed, work with sales engineers and make sure the customer is satisfied with VIVOTEK solutions.
- Target in re-producible opportunities and middle-large scale projects
- Advise VIVOTEK USA about education and healthcare market trends (technological and commercial trends) and devise strategies to ensure VIVOTEK USA is prepared to take advantage of them.
- Select / plan / join education and healthcare related events, to ensure the continuous growth of VIVOTEK brand awareness and image with education and healthcare market
- Maintain CRM Systems and other reporting systems, information exchange platforms.
- Provide bi-annual business plan for review and action plan proposed to ensure VIVOTEK USA education and healthcare business development in North America.
Requirements
- Experienced in education and healthcare Industry
- Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP communication
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience is a plus
- Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong public speaking skills
- Must be persistent and pro-active
- Must have ability to multi-task and strong time management skills
- Must have a responsible independent drive, and must be resourceful
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Ability to travel extensively
