DESCRIPTION:

Frontier Performance Polymers Corporation is a multi-disciplined engineering company specializing in developing and manufacturing high performance and lightweight solutions using advanced plastic materials for defense and commercial industries.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with experiences in defense market and plastic commercial market. The candidate must have expertise in driving new sales revenues and improving margin growth and identifying future growth opportunities. This customer-facing role will require an extensive technical and business background, along with sharp business acumen and the ability to identify opportunities, manage project executions, and eventually to close the new sales within the targeted deadline. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to leverage his broad technical aptitude, powered by the technical strength and manufacturing capability of the company, to expand and deepen the intimacy of the customer contact network.

Qualifications

· Must be a US citizen or US Permanent resident to be allowed to handle ITAR data.

· Must have a BS degree from a reputable institution in the fields of business management or engineering.

· Must have at least five years in selling, or marketing, or conducting new business development in the fields of thermoplastic compounded resins, sheet or film extruded products, toll compounding/manufacturing, etc.

· Experiences with new business development with government (particularly in DOD) funded projects are a big plus.

Requirements & Formula for Success

  • Identify the potential customers with specific needs of company’s products or services, identify the development needs, manage new product development projects with internal teams, work closely with the customer to obtain the qualification or approval, close the sale of the new product, and transfer the new product to the production team.
  • Be accountable for generating new sales and meeting financial targets (volume, sales, and margin), as aligned with the overall business targets, with primary responsibility for generating, documenting, and converting sales pipelines effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with key stakeholders at commercial accounts and/or government customers to promote our plastic products, technical/prototype capabilities, toll manufacturing to grow our business and make new sales.
  • Ability to utilize strong technical aptitude to understand customer needs and partner with account management, technical support, and R&D teams to propose effective and profitable solutions and developments.
  • Must have excellent communication (both verbal and writing) skills and possess excellent presentation skills to promote the company’s offering to potential customers.
  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to coordinate with and manage the internal R&D team, production team and product management to drive the new production development to meet the customer requirements and schedule.
  • Lead product development projects for the selected customers, fill the Company product pipeline, and drive sustainable solutions and growth in a variety of thermoplastic resin, sheet and film markets.
  • Drive new sales to defense and commercial markets.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary range:
$80,000 to $150,000 annually depending upon the qualification, achievements, experiences, technical skills, and education.
