Our Vision | Nokomis Energy is a Midwest based provider of clean energy solutions helping communities, companies and utilities take advantage of the Energy Transition. We are hiring Business Development Associates to support the development of 1-20MW solar and storage solutions across US distribution grids.
How You’re Helping the Transition | At Nokomis, we recognize that with increasing frequency, communities, businesses, and organizations are seeking to become active participants in transitioning our energy system to cleaner, cheaper and more local sources. Our Business Development Associates play an integral role in understanding customer goals and leveraging the Nokomis team to deliver clean, low-cost energy solutions. On any given day you will be supporting the team to deliver energy solutions that increase the adoption of distributed energy resources with businesses, schools, municipalities and distributed utilities.
Why You’re a Good Fit | Our ideal candidates will have experience in utility bill evaluation, utility rate analysis, incentive analysis, financial modeling, a basic understanding of distributed energy technologies such as solar and storage, and an ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Previous experience in clean energy is not required, but good organizational skills, a desire to learn, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are a must. This role will work on many aspects of origination, offering multiple paths for growth. Business Development Associates get exposed to many aspects of development and often go on to lead project sales or manage project financing. Essential Job Functions
- Utility Bill Analysis (Avoided Cost estimates, Demand Savings)
- Utility Rate Tariff Analysis (Net Metering, Demand Credits, Value Tariffs)
- Client Presentation & Proposal Generation
- Project Financial Proforma Creation, Evaluation & Optimization
- Incentive Analysis (Federal, State, Local & Utility Tariffs)
- Tax Treatment Analysis (Property, Production, Investment Credits, Depreciation)
Compensation
- Total Annual Compensation (Salary + Bonus) of $80-120K+ based on experience
