POSITION PURPOSE
This position supports Business Continuity Management by performing assignments to effectively integrate the Business Continuity Management Program into the activities and operations of the Bank. Responsibilities include facilitation of enterprise-wide business impact analyses, maintenance of business continuity plans and ongoing interaction with line of business management to support the Business Continuity Management Program. The ideal candidate will be process-oriented, pay close attention to detail, and have strong analytic skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Assists with educating Prosperity Bank officers and associates on business continuity management responsibilities and best practices.
- Assists in identifying and evaluating business continuity risk across the Bank.
- Assists with facilitating execution enterprise-wide business continuity program and maintaining the business continuity information system.
- Assists with evaluating business impact analysis results for completeness and accuracy.
- Provides ongoing support to business function management.
- Initiates annual updates to banking center and department business continuity plans and manages timelines for completion.
- Assists with development, implementation and tracking of the business continuity training program.
- Assists with annual testing and event (such as weather, etc.) program documentation.
- Escalates issues to Chief Risk Officer.
- Participates in the development of dashboards and analytic management reports based on business needs.
- Participates in projects related to Business Continuity Management initiatives such as maintaining policies and procedures.
- Identifies processes to improve the effectiveness of the Business Continuity Management Program.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of various lines of business and regulatory requirements.
- Acts as backup to Business Continuity Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial institution or business continuity role. Project management skills a plus.
