Job description
Purdue University and its Polytechnic business office are looking for an individual who can be highly flexible and adaptable to constantly varying work environments and with limited daily supervision to become its next Business Assistant for Account Management. As the Business Assistant for Account Management, you will work collaboratively with departmental faculty, staff, students, and other business units or areas to support the financial management process. Responsibilities include account management, billing and cost center management, effort reporting, and forecasting. There will also be a need to develop financial reports for financial planning forecasts or analyze and project data for budget reviews. As the Business Assistant, you will need to exercise delegated signature approval for a variety of business transactions following delegation policies. Assist with the processes for preparation, review, and authorization of Personnel Activity Reports (PAR) and assist with PAR-related questions. Assist with the overall budget process.

What you should bring:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Three years experience of account clerk, bookkeeping, business, or related experience
- Experience with procurement
- Experience in providing a high level of customer service
- Ability to identify problems, analyze information, and implement solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
- Ability to analyze, interpret and implement policies and procedures
- Proficient with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, database, internet, etc.)
- Ability to handle interruptions while meeting deadlines with accurate results and providing exceptional customer service
- Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
What we would like for you to have:
- Two years of university business office experience
- SAP, SuccessFactors, and billing/collections experience
