DRIVER (part-time) for Assisted Living Program

Woodlands is a beautiful three-story community, licensed by the State of Maryland to provide assisted living and memory care to older adults who need help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing or assistance with medications. We are conveniently located in a residential neighborhood northeast of downtown Baltimore in Middle River, Baltimore County , Maryland. We are looking for a part-time Driver two or more days per week using the Woodlands bus to escort residents to and from medical appointments and various functions.

The ideal applicant will be an experienced and safe driver with a compassion for seniors, and one who can independently and patiently handle situations as they may occur. We prefer applicants with a genuine passion for working with seniors, a positive “can-do” attitude, desire to be part of an awesome team, and someone who handles emergencies with aplomb and a sense of humor.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Driver’s License in good standing

• A clear DMV Driving Record Report

• Ability to communicate confidently, clearly, concisely and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing to residents, families, and employees.  
• Experience with doing activities with seniors

• Caregiving experience strongly preferred.

• Experience, professional or personal, with seniors who suffer from memory loss strongly preferred.

In order to qualify, prior work experience in long term care is preferred. You must also possess a Class A license to drive our bus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.90 - $17.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
