Position Summary:
The Billing Clerk/ Medical Interpreter is responsible for translating between our doctors and patients. This is a vital role in our organization due to the amount of patient interaction. The ideal candidate will speak English and Spanish fluently and be friendly, professional, and have excellent time management skills. Interpreter will complete billing tasks when he/she is not busy with patients.

Responsibilities:

• Translate treatment plans/conversations between the doctors and their patients
• Translate Spanish speaking phone calls from patients. These calls can be for billing and/or scheduling purposes
• Miscellaneous billing tasks

Required skills, abilities, knowledge:

• Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and a team player
• Possess a positive attitude, self-starter with good customer service focus
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems
• Knowledge of Allscripts and/or Exscribe a plus

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years’ experience in a medical setting a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 per hour
