Job description

Role and Responsibilities:

• Performs the duties of a paying and receiving teller: cashes checks; accepts deposits and loan payments; processes change orders; accepts safety deposit rent; sells Official Checks; completes CTRs as needed; takes check orders; performs Visa/Master Card cash advances for customers; takes stop payments and assists customers with safe deposit box. Scans work.
• Balances teller totals and cash items as needed.
• Opens card machine on a daily basis, adds cards, and balances at the end of the day.
• Rotates as vault teller and works drive-in window as needed.
• Answers phone and assists customer with accounts.
• Seeks expanded deposit and loan relationships with customers and sets referral goals.
• Assists with branch opening/closing procedures.
• Goes to post office and courthouse daily as requested.
• Completes training as needed.
• Has helpful attitude with co-workers and customers.
• Strives to improve the efficiency in his/her work area through cost savings.
• Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to IT Program including IT Security Policy and completes required IT training.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• Tact and public relations expertise
• Ability to use calculator, PC, and teller machine

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
