Key Role:

Use appropriate test tools and methodologies to execute functional, integration, and data verification tests. Support the preparation of test strategy, test data, test scripts and other release-related artifacts in support of enhancement and O & M releases. Support the test lead with the development of estimates for testing efforts and in prioritization of test activities. Execute and verify positive and negative test cases and document test results, including comparisons between source and target data and support user acceptance testing. Support the review of test reports, related Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents and work products. Lead and support developing and updating SDLC documents and artifacts.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Back end tester with hands-on application testing and developing and executing test scripts
  • 1+ years of experience in working with entity-relationship diagrams, database schemas, test data, and source to target data verification
  • 1+ years of experience with using SoapUI or equivalent methods for the verification of Web services
  • 1+ years of experience with working as a member of full life cycle development teams in large projects, supporting mission critical programs
  • 1+ years of experience with using database query languages and tools, including SQL or TOAD to cross-verify data in the application with the database
  • 1+ years of experience with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, such as Excel and using configuration management and defect tracking tools, such as Atlassian JIRA
  • Ability to translate functional and data requirements into SQL and write procedures and functions to test complicated data interfaces
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with supporting reporting data management and data quality applications
  • Ability to support automated testing, 508, COTS, and usability testing
  • Ability to support QA reviews, peer reviews, and reviews of SDLC products and artifacts
  • Public Trust preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
