The Senior Lead Application Developer job is responsible for overseeing the analysis, programming, and configuration of information technology systems software. This job develops complex software components and advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation. While working with the leadership team, this job provides project leadership for software development activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • The right person will be highly technical, analytical, and have experience in leading and providing solutions to technical teams composted of developers and testers. In addition, this person will have a record of supporting new initiatives, small to medium sized projects or enhancements across OTC, Cleared and Exchange Traded Derivative asset classes.
  • Liaise closely with all Front & Back Office operations and technology application teams to provide Technical Design, Requirements and review Functional requirement focusing Eagle application by adhering SOP.
  • Improve efficiency by reviewing patterns and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Standardization of tools, processes, reporting across support to drive transparency, efficiency and agility.
  • Manage a team of developers across US and Off-shore sites to provide technical oversight and lead them in a way that they will deliver quality results.
  • Act as a primary technical resource to launch NEW products in the market. NEW products will include exotic Swaptions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Working experience related to any THREE of Investment Management domains specified below
    • OTC, Cleared and/or Exchange Traded Derivatives, Corporate Action, Trade Processing, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Accounting, Pricing and Reference Data management
  • Working experience related to patterns and anti-patterns related to web framework, data movement and file movement patterns
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Solid understanding of ITIL freamwork and technical controls and written and oral communications skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Finance, Accounting, Math or related technical areaExcellent team player in addition to lead and support junior developers
  • Work well in a collaborative team environment across multiple locations
  • Proven capability of independent judgment and decision making where no clear precedents exist
  • Ability to follow Hybrid Project Management Methodologies using Waterfall and SCRUM across projects and programs
  • Strong Development experience on BNY Mellon Eagle product suite including IWS ETL, PACE ETL and Automation Center would be a plus
  • Strong Development experience with Murex would be a plus
  • Eagle upgrade experience would be a big plus
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Data Stage, Sternling Integrator and Autosys would be a big plus.
  • Hand on experience with Oracle PL/SQL with understanding of Performce tuning using Partitions and EXPLAIN PLAN
  • Exposure to Linux and Shell/Python Script.
  • Exposure to Java/J2EE Applications using Angular JS, REACT and/or SPRING Webframeworks .
  • Experience with Pre-Trade workflow, Post Trade Workflow, Compliance Manager, OSP, VAR, RFR Curves, IBOR, BVAL, Collateral Mgmt, Trade Processing, Pricing, Reference Data and Market data management business concepts related to OTC, Cleared and Exchange Traded Derivative products are required.
  • Development experience on Murex v48 product suite including Murex Integration Layer, Financial Data Store, Data Mart, Message Queues, OBIEE and Data Stage, SWIFT and fpML
  • Experience working with ITIL framework and technical controls and written and oral communications skills

Base Pay Range: $124,300/yr. - $207,100/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
