Job Title: Automotive Technician Apprentice

Job Summary: As an Automotive Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for learning the skills necessary to perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles. This includes conducting inspections, diagnosing problems, and carrying out repairs under the guidance of a qualified automotive technician. You will be expected to learn about the different components of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, and gain knowledge on how to use diagnostic tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Perform routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems
• Replace or repair faulty components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or enrolled in high school
• Must be enrolled in an accredited automotive technology program
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and awkward positions
• Ability to work in a noisy and dirty environment
