Hawkins Chevrolet is currently looking for a Controller to replace our current Controller, who is ready to spend more time on the golf green and less time in the office. The right person should have experience in automotive accounting and CDK experience is a plus.

As the companies Office Manager/Controller you will be responsible for the following:

• Preparing accurate monthly dealership financial statements and submitting them to the manufacturer in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and time frame.
• Ensure that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, parts inventory, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.
• Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and communicates developing trends.
• Monitoring the company’s financial statements and accounts regularly and informing senior management of developing trends or issues.
• Reviewing company operations and accounts and suggesting areas of improvement and/or where expenses can be reduced.
• Providing department managers with timely and accurate financial and management reports.
• Making sure the dealership and its operations are complaint with government regulations and submitting accurate and timely reports to government agencies as required by law.
• Supervising the reconciliation of general ledger, bank, reserve, factory payable and floor plan accounts.
• Effectively managing the dealerships’ cash reserves.
• Supervising the dealerships’ business office personnel, including but not limited to employees responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and human resources.
• Coordinating with outside accounting and legal professionals and providing requested information as required.
• Performing other duties as required.
• Ensures highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
