Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise office personnel
• Analyze and organize office operations and procedures which includes:
• Manage daily operations of the accounting/administrative department, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Vehicle Titling/Documentation
• Prepare monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and time frame
• Control all posted documents, including vehicle deals, commissions, and additions and changes to inventory
• Prepare daily bank deposit and cash report
• Maintain an effective cash management system.
• Provide a timely daily operating control (DOC) and keeps the dealer general manager informed about trends
• Maintain the General Ledger and reconcile all accounts monthly
• Ensure that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate
• Closes month by processing accounting month-end
• Administer charge-backs
• Manage the payoff of vehicle floor plan and work with bank representatives
• Approve new charge accounts and oversees collection of past due accounts
• Compile information and prepare reports as requested by dealer/general manager
• Control petty cash for dealership and sales department
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations
• Stay abreast of current factory incentives

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of Automotive office manager experience
• Computer literacy and ability to learn Company software
• Strong Automotive Accounting knowledge
• Clean and valid driver’s license
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test
