Job description
CW is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) who would be responsible for performing building inspections, safety meetings, office administration, supervision of custodial crew(s), scheduling of custodial crew(s), minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

What would the Assistant Project Manager do?
The APM will assist the Project Manager as needed. The APM would be responsible for performing building inspections, safety meetings, office administration, supervision of custodial crew(s), scheduling of custodial crew(s), minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.
What would my Role and Responsibilities be?
  • Works under the supervision of the Building PM.
  • Conducts inspections of work completed by employees.
  • Conducts safety meetings.
  • Supervises custodial employees in various locations throughout the building.
  • Uses customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.
  • Responsible for organizing, planning, directing, staffing, and controlling the operations of the facility.
  • Responsible for maintaining the goals, standards, and objectives of the facility, as well as obtaining and maintaining the goals, standards, and objectives of the company.
  • Coordinates work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of the maintenance and care of the buildings and offices.
  • Coordinates workflow charts on the project to meet short and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the ordering of inventory for the facility.
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates assigned custodial staff.
  • Trains staff in proper chemical and equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Responsible for the security of designated locations.
  • Keeps records of work completed.
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
  • Performs custodial duties when needed.
  • Maintained storage areas and cleaned equipment, materials, and supplies in a safe and orderly manner to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Performs any other tasks as assigned.
What Preferred Knowledge do I need?
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Knowledge of how to operate in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of the use of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS),
  • Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
  • Ability to work under little supervision.
  • Must have computer knowledge: Excel, Word, and data entry.
  • Knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of proper hazardous chemical disposal.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships at different levels.
  • Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Time management skills
How will my Performance be measured?
  • Ability to manage the assigned contract in a smooth, efficient manner by keeping costs under control, handling personnel effectively, and maintaining good relationships with site personnel.
  • Completion of paperwork assignments accurately and promptly.
  • Consistently performing to the standards of the statement of work without deductions for deficiencies.
  • Ability to train and instruct workers assigned to perform custodial, operational work tasks, to analyze and suggest more effective and efficient procedures and methods of operation.
  • Serving as a role model to employees and clients.
  • Ability to implement procedures to minimize employee accidents, waste of supplies, and damage to equipment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, work under pressure, demonstrate flexibility and work independently.
  • Ability to effectively assist in planning and organizing the workforce to maintain budget constraints.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on all equipment used.
  • Adherence to the company’s policies and procedures.
What are the Physical Demands?
