SUMMARY
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting the product life cycle of vacuum pumps and blower products from ideation, development, introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. The role will work cross functionally with Commercial, Engineering functions to develop and implement strategies for sustained profitable growth. This will include, and not be limited to, market education/training, developing business cases for new products and services, commercially launching new products and services, development of sales tools, sales collateral, and competitive benchmarking. The qualified candidate must be passionate about customer intimacy, communication, and responsiveness.

Collaborate with the Product Manager, North America, to support all aspects of the product life cycle including roadmap development, and identification and implementation of key growth initiatives.

Collaborate with the Product Manager, North America, to develop New Product Development (NPD) business cases and support NPD from ideation to product launch.

Ensure products support the overall business strategy and goals for the Airtech Group.

Conduct robust voice-of-customer to validate market/competitive dynamics, new product business cases, and to generally stay closely connected to the market.

Collaborate with the Product Manger, North America, to drive the product Life Cycle from ideation and launch through end of life.

Specify market requirements for current and future products based on market research and customer/sales interactions.

Conduct market and competitive analysis for products and applications.

Collaborate with sales and marketing to support go-to-market activities, sales promotions/campaigns, and product and application training.

Track and report product level performance including sales, margin, price, and competitive benchmarking.

Create and maintain product commercial and technical documentation.

Support pre- and post-sales support on new and existing products and services, as necessary.

Develop in-depth understanding of competitor’s tactics, strategies, and products.

Perform other assignments as directed by the Product Manager, North America.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering, sciences)

2+ years of technical sales, product management/marketing, applications/engineering experience, preferably with an industrial manufacturing organization
QUALIFICATIONS

Computer efficiency – highly proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of company ERP system to track product level detail

Professional experience in product development, sales, and/or marketing functions a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; especially when presenting to customers, representatives, and other key stakeholders

Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail is a critical required skill

Strong analytical and problem-solving and skill
-
Technical aptitude to learn and become subject matter expert on company products and applications

Ability to research and develop business cases for applications and products
-
Works effectively in a team environment; both with internal and external stakeholders
-
Ability to travel – up to 10%
