Fee-only registered investment advisor located in Central NJ is seeking a candidate with some experience to fill a full-time Associate Client Service Specialist position within our firm. The position will expose the chosen candidate to many aspects of the wealth management profession. This will include portfolio administration and direct contact with clients (largely phone and email, potentially in-person meetings). Training will be provided as required in these areas, but the candidate must have excellent writing and computer skills and working knowledge of the industry. Experience with Portfolio Reporting Systems (Tamarac, Axys, Black Diamond, Orion, etc.) and CRM Systems (Salesforce) is a plus as is prior experience servicing clients at custodians such as Charles Schwab, TD Ameritrade, and Fidelity.

Job Responsibilities

· Process paperwork for clients to update accounts, open accounts, and provide general account maintenance at our custodians.

· Oversee onboarding of new clients, including account opening, transfers, system updates, and coordinating with clients in a friendly, knowledgeable manner.

· Maintain the CRM with accurate client information, updating when necessary.

· Assist with answering the phones and responding to emails.

· Support other staff in the upkeep of document archiving system, including indexing, retrieval, and organization.

· Work with our custodians to ensure timely and accurate processing of client tasks, including account maintenance, account opening, distributions and withdrawals, deposits, and transfers.

· Keep accurate, detailed notes of all ongoing tasks in our CRM.

· Communicate with clients and custodians regularly for follow-up or to assist internal staff with client service-related issues.

· Open and maintain accounts in our Portfolio Management System to ensure accurate reporting and billing.

Ideal Candidate Skills/Characteristics

· Bachelor's degree from 4-year institution with strong GPA. Relevant business majors are preferred, but all will be considered.

· Excellent command of the written English language is NECESSARY.

· Relevant job experience.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and related business productivity tools.

· Experience working with Alternative Investments

· Ability to manage competing priorities in a timely fashion.

· Mental acuity to work independently, but also function in a team environment when the situation dictates.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to communicate information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

· Experience with Tamarac (or other portfolio reporting systems) and Salesforce is a PLUS
