Job description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager Program/Project Management located at our Corporate office in Novi, MI reporting to the Asst General Manager Production Planning and Control. This individual will be responsible for product and project planning; and system improvements.

Responsibliities:

• Focus on launching new vehicle and/or new vehicle equipment within predetermined cost, quality and allocated preparation time.
• Evaluate and take necessary countermeasure to maintain project schedule.
• Organize, manage and communicate model year change items to related departments.
• Coordinate parts and assembly drawing issue timing with related departments.
• Train direct reports and support mid-year and yearly performance review process.
• Deliver products to customers with the shortest lead time from order to shipment.
• Partner with affiliated departments, HMS and HML regarding production of products to include issue resolution and required adjustments
• Coordinate the development of new product production
• Develop project management strategies and implement best practices, to improve operational performance

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management or similar field
• 6-8 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment - preferably in supply and/or production scheduling
• PMP certification is desirable
• Work experience in an OEM or Tier 1 automotive company
• Strong organizational and data management skills
• Good understanding of vehicle assembly process preferred
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to function as a mediator or facilitator of decision-making processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
