PPCCC is a trusted provider of high-quality, affordable reproductive health care along California’s Central Coast. Each year, PPCCC provides 35,000 people on the central coast with health care services; including sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vasectomies, and safe and legal abortion care at our six health center locations. PPCCC also provides comprehensive sexuality education programs to help adults and teens make healthy decisions, prevent unintended pregnancies, and avoid sexually transmitted infection.

JOB SUMMARY
In conjunction with Center Director, implement optimal patient flow by providing or assuring flow facilitation on a daily basis that helps meet productivity performance benchmarks, reduce patient wait times (60 minutes or less) and encourage a positive patient experience at PPCCC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Advanced computer skills in a Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Any experience with Health Care - Electronic Health Records
  • Continuously monitor and prioritize patient wait time. Ongoing triage of Health Center patient and staff workflow by utilizing patient tracking and cycle time tools.
  • Monitor and minimize wait times. Constant communication with patients related to waiting time. Offering options to patients and adjusting services as necessary to facilitate an excellent patient experience.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust staff schedules and daily assignments to ensure efficient delivery of service and adequate break/lunch times. This includes the authority to make changes in staffing patterns and/or duties to assure optimum flow and patient satisfaction.
  • Promote continuous communication between front, back, and licensed staff to create and maintain a teamwork approach. Assure daily communication with Call Center to expand schedules when necessary for walk-in availability and other appointment changes needed.
  • Incorporates EHR into effective flow management
  • Ensure exam rooms and supply stations are consistently well stocked
  • In collaboration with Center Director, ensure adequate staffing to meet center needs. Post and communicate daily assignments.
  • Participate and lead daily team brief and debrief sessions.
  • Assume any front or back office duties as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and emergency guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Center Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-3 years experience working in a Planned Parenthood health center or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of reproductive health care.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work evenings and weekends. Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must have own reliable transportation.
  • Interact with patients, vendors, and employees in a professional and helpful manner by utilizing Service Standards.
  • Work to ensure patient satisfaction. Establish rapport with clients, remaining cognizant of and responsive to needs for medical and educational care delivered in a professional, expedient manner.
  • Monitor wait time in the clinic and ensure all client complaints are being addressed.
  • English-Spanish bilingual skills desirable.
  • Advanced computer skills in a Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Any experience with Health Care - Electronic Health Records
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Nextgen Practice Management Application is desirable.

Each position has a salary based on market value and the organization’s pay levels.
