TITLE: Manager, Assembly

TYPE: Direct Hire

LOCATION: Fairless Hills, PA

ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite

START DATE: May/June 2023

SHIFT: 1st Shift

We are looking for an Assembly Manager that will provide direction, technical instruction, and support to the assembly shop.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designate work to department staff based on skill and make certain that set assembly methods are followed consistently.
• Make certain that all staff labor entries and work orders are accurately updated and finished in a timely manner.
• Develop work priorities and oversee the shop’s production timeline to make certain that all agreed-upon ship dates are achieved.
• Recognize training opportunities and put in place appropriate plans to strengthen skills.
• Gives support in solving on-the-job technical problems.
• Convey material needs to Department Leads
• Examines all finished equipment before releasing for shipment.
• Uphold compliance to company guidelines, good housekeeping practices, and safety standards.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to advance tooling, methods, and overall efficiencies of the department.
• Assess the performance of staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 year technical degree is required; a 4-year mechanical engineering degree is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience overseeing personnel in an electro-mechanical assembly work environment.
• Must be mechanically inclined and experienced in working with various small hand tools.
• Must have a working knowledge of electricity and be able to comprehend simple schematics and blueprints.
• Must have experience/knowledge in lean manufacturing concepts.
• Mut be capable of lifting 50lbs.
