POSITION: Aspire/GED Instructor

REPORTS TO: Aspire Coordinator

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filled

STARTING DATE: ASAP

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher; have or be able to secure required licensure/certification from the Ohio Department of Education; have a sound understanding of curriculum development techniques and individualized learning; experience with disadvantaged adults and a willingness to relate to adults with limited reading, math and writing skills is preferred; must successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.

RESPONSIBILITES: Duties include: assessing students upon entrance to the program, developing lesson plans, instructing students using a variety of materials and methods in the areas of math, language arts, science and/or social student. Must have computer skills needed to maintain student records and produce monthly reports in Excel or Access programs. Attendance at all staff meetings is required.

SALARY: Placement on the Adult Hourly Salary Schedule
