Job description

The Applications System Analyst will assist in ensuring data security and compliance, mentoring and coaching others, being a champion for continuous improvements in software practices, leading design and implementing new applications, and collaborating and building partnerships with cross functional teams. Partner with development, product management, architecture, information security and infrastructure teams to deliver software and technology products that meet requirements and produce desired business outcomes. Adhere to established architectural principles and associated processes for adopting new technology or integrating with a new third-party solution. Advise product management on technology specific aspects of product roadmap development and recommend adoption of emerging technology appropriate to stated goals.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in system analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies - This is a more technical role, and will need someone with more technical experience ie: Azure, databases, microservices, Java, etc.
• Experience utilizing design patterns and architectural principles to ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions
• Proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture/Cloud
• Demonstrated written, oral communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate/work effectively with diverse groups of people

Nice to Have :

• Understanding of architecture patterns for PCI compliance
• Any experience developing and/or architecting public cloud-hosted backend services with Azure and/or GCP
• Any experience developing/designing a scalable microservices architecture in Go, Java & Node.js

Key Responsibilities

• Perform many tasks independently and communicate with appropriate teams
• Partner with appropriate teams to deliver software solutions according to SDLC best practices
• Partner with appropriate teams to expedite issue resolution within defined SLAs
• Document the root cause of issues and implement improvements to prevent future recurrence
• Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies
• Provide support for applications during business hours and off-hours (24 x 7) as required
• Ensure change control, support ticketing, and bug tracking processes are executed following defined standards
• Establish priorities for application modifications in collaboration with key business stakeholders
• Develop the overall software & deployment architecture of application solutions across teams within a single domain
• Partner with engineering staff to deliver solutions
• Partner with 3rd party vendors to integrate capabilities as required by the solution under development
• Partner with Solutions Architects during large, cross-functional project discovery to develop high level architecture and design
• Lead architectural design reviews as required
• Draft, review and maintain architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other architectural artifacts as required by the delivery teams to clearly communicate the needs of the solution under development
• Interact with/present to engineering and product management with the presence to influence and drive the decision makers to a solution
• Identify technology overlaps and gaps and inform Solutions Architecture staff
• Make appropriate recommendations based on business needs
