Work Schedule: Full time, in a production environment


Job Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for carrying out prompt and accurate handling of transactions and ensuring everything is resolved and processed within the pay terms deadline. Dedicated to providing thorough administrative support for internal and external clients. Includes working closely and maintaining a strong working relationship with associated supporting teams.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a dynamic team
  • Code invoices with appropriate GL account, department, and service term
  • Batch vendor invoices, prepare proposed check run report and file documents
  • Research and resolve vendor correspondence and invoice/payment issues
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance workflow of the department
  • Communicate regularly with internal operations regarding vendor invoices and/or needs that arise
  • Prepare and schedules vendor payments according to trade discounts and payment terms

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of accounts payable
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Work, and Excel
  • Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur, Bill.com or similar third-party software required
  • Credit card, vendor, and purchasing card reconciliations required
  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Global Shop ERP
  • Payroll experience

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years accounts payable experience
  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Supervision Required: Minimal – Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.
