Waynedale Animal Clinic is seeking to fill a position as an Animal Caretaker. Canidates with a background in animal care will be considered first. Candidates must be extremely flexible, motivated, and responsible. Also, a strong love for animals and the ability to anticipate their needs is necessary for this position. We highly encourage those canidates who are looking to get established and gain experience within a small animal practice to apply. This is the opportunity.

Work Schedule

-Must be available: 7am – 6pm Monday – Friday, 7am-12pm Saturday + various times Saturday & Sunday for weekend kennel shift

-This position requires weekend work and must be available to work Holidays

-*Starting* pay: $10 - $12/ hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Provide animal care needs for pets within our kennel facility and hospital

-Feed, walk, administer medications, and report any concerns and/or progress on pet's condition

-Clean and maintain kennel and hospital cages

-Perform upkeep and cleaning duties within the clinic as a whole

-Perform occasional baths/combings

-Maintain the outdoor area for the pets

-Provide customer service to our clients

-Assist and restrain pets for the Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician during appointments and/or surgeries if needed.

Skills and Qualifications

-HS Diploma or GED

-Flexible schedule

-Strong work ethic

-Dependable, responsible, and highly motivated

-Background in animal care is preferred, but not required

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
