Job description

1. Sanitizes/disinfects pet suites, condos and general boarding areas.
2. Provides clean bedding and fresh water to each new pet guest.
3. Feeds pet guest the correct type and quantity of food each meal.
4. Ensures pets have clean water at all times.
5. Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of each and every pet guest; reports concerns to
the Center Manager or Animal Care Manager.
6. Visually checks boarding pets for well being and safety periodically throughout each day.
7. Cleans up pet excrement as needed. Checks and picks feces out of suites as needed during the day.
8. Performs Activities as scheduled.
9. Monitors pet belongings; cleans belongings as needed; assures the return of pet belongings to owners.
Carries pet belongings to storage area, front or to assist customers, as needed.
10. Maintains kitchen in clean orderly manner.
11. Launders pet bedding and grooming towels.
12. Reports items in low supply to Center Manager or Animal Care Manager.
13. Follows all safe handling procedures.
14. Reports needed repairs to Center Manager or Animal Care Manager.
15. Completes Pet Guest Reports.
16. Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc.
17. Treats customers, guests and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner; greets all customers
encountered while performing work duties.
18. Assists other Associates as needed.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
No special requirements.

Experience:
Professional pet care experience preferred.

Physical:
Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays.
Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds.
Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day and be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Must be able to work on computer system.
Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander
and excretions.

Personal:
Must possess a love of animals.
Displays a professional manner at all times.
