Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performance dashboard development, analysis using multiple qualitative and quantitative sources.
- Utilize the performance dashboard to mine for insights and find solutions. Potential sources include internal SAP, customer POS, and 3rd party syndicated data & reporting. Use of Tableau software a plus.
- Prepare and develop all strategic customer planning documents for key financial KPIs, including but not limited to: QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), annual planning/budgeting, seasonal plan/activities, and S&OP roll ups, in conjunction with sales and marketing leaders.
- Design, manage, and action financial templates used to analyze business trends and provide recommendations to improve sales performance.
- Responsible for continuous financial performance improvements; suggest product price and mix optimization strategies, and track and report performance on all implemented actions.
- Responsible for performance dashboard development and analysis using multiple qualitative and quantitative sources; internal SAP, customer POS, and 3rd party syndicated data & reporting.
- Suggest actions to support sales, marketing, operations, and the customer understand, in detail, program performance by item or category.
- Track and measure activities impacting the business, such as promotions, advertising, and key shopper & consumer behaviors.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of customer’s goals and KPIs; leverage this information in assortment and promotional strategy recommendations.
- Assist in strategic customer business negotiations and line reviews by merging both external POS trends, customer strategies as well as internal metrics/expectations. Design and develop key financial summaries to provide sales leaders the necessary decision-making information throughout the negotiation process.
- Build and maintain outstanding relationships with internal and external cross functional teams; share best practices in reporting and tools development.
- Travel as needed. Participate in regular sales meetings with our key customers. Perform market visits to local and nationwide retail stores as requested.
- Develop and support periodic financial planning activities and act as liaison between Sales, FP&A and planning departments. These financial planning activities may include quarterly planning meetings, budgeting/planning and price optimization discussions to ensure profitable growth.
- Responsible key pricing activities and templates, supporting our sales and marketing organization with key pricing decisions and promotional planning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in financial tracking and highly analytical work. Experience in the following areas is highly preferred: Sales performance measurement and financial tracking, Pricing management, Data analytics/ Business intelligence, Shopper/consumer insights, and competitive intelligence
- Proven performance with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Very strong computer and data analysis experience required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Data analytics / Business intelligence and Tableau. SAP, database management, Salesforce CRM, and advanced Data Science tools are a plus
- Superior problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as with diverse teams
- Desired traits include: detail oriented, curious, drive for continuous improvement, desire to learn, and a bias for action
- Ability to work on multiple high-profile projects simultaneously and adhere to strict deadlines
