POSITION SUMMARY
The Arcade Manager will be responsible for the leadership within the AIKG Arcade Department. The job is to oversee, manage, and maintain mechanical and arcade machines. The area of expertise and focus will be the Arcade floor which includes the layout and placement of all machines and have working knowledge of arcade machines. The manager is also responsible for all the repairs and operations of an amusement arcade which does require Hands-On repairing. Responsible for hiring, scheduling & training hourly staff, maintain cost control, service standards, operational procedures and policies, guest relations, sanitation and environment control, cash handling along with staff motivation, safety, and security. The Arcade Manager will support all AIKG operations and work to create an environment that encourages ownership and accountability by all Team Members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead team members with integrity and purpose
- Empower staff to deliver exceptional legendary service
- Always support the Andretti Indoor Karting and Games Motto “Striving for Perfection, Achieving Excellence”
- Responsible for the ongoing development of arcade staff
- Provide direct and honest feedback to arcade staff regarding individual performance
- Manage arcade staff training and employee relations
- Assure that staff morale is maintained at a high level
- Take an active part in the recruitment and retention of arcade staff
- Accountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor, and cash control
- Manage arcade department labor costs within acceptable budgets
- Ensure the arcade area site inspections are within acceptable standards
- Manage organization and cleanliness of the arcade area
- Work closely with Sales Department to ensure proper scheduling and planning for Events
- Oversee, maintain, and inventory areas of unit equipment
Arcade Manager Qualifications
Required:
- Eligible to work in the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills
- The desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday
- Work varying days, nights, holidays, and weekends
Preferred and great to have:
- Two years of Arcade, Family Entertainment Center, or Restaurant management in a high-volume environment
- Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff
- Strong training and development background
- Working knowledge of cost controls
