As an Ambassador, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

  • PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide security and safety for guests, employees and venue
    • Abide by all state and federal law while enforcing hotel and venue policy
    • Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner, and exemplifying MGM SHOW standards
    • Actively market venue; which includes participating in marketing requirements and outings, including but not limited to:
      • Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards
      • Build and establish personal clientele list
      • Weekly table reservations
      • (3) to (4) organic posts to one of the following social platforms with information provided by the marketing team: Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram Stories
      • Sharing of venues Facebook posts onto their own channels for branding and awareness
      • Posting and engaging (liking and commenting) with the venue’s social media posts, as well as engaging with review sites, such as Yelp
    • Administer first aid and assist injured guests and employees
    • Maintain current knowledge of authorities to contact in the event of specific situations
    • Use professionalism in responses to all levels of situations that arise
    • Be alert and vigilant of any suspicious guests or activity
    • Escort guests or employees out of the venue as needed
    • Provide detailed incident reports whenever issues arise with guests or employees
    • Report safety concerns as they arise
    • Control the flow of guests coming into the restaurant, bar and lounge
    • Perform all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment
    • Communicate with management and service team to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees
    • Perform other job-related duties as requested
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms
    • At least 21 years old
    • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

    PREFERRED:

    • Two (2) years of experience as a Security Officer/Guard in similar, high-volume bar or nightclub establishment
    • Bilingual, with English as primary or secondary language
    • Experience working in a similar resort setting

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to work as a part of a team in a high-stress and high-volume environment
    • Ability to work in and adapt to a dynamic and frequently changing environment
    • Ability to adhere to and execute established department policies and procedures
    • Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, and food
    • Effective listening skills
    • Possess strong judgement skills
    • Ability to work under pressure while being able to pay attention to details
    • Basic math skills
    • Basic computer and reservation software skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards
    • Possess intrapersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written forms

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Indoor working conditions with hot and cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors
    • Varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
    • Moderate to high noise levels
    • Physically able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a tray or arm service where it applies
    • Physically able to walk or stand without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period
