Aftenro Home is looking for a Cook for our dining services department. Experience preferred , but will train. This is a Part-time, Morning from 5:30am to 2 pm, Evening 11-8pm , also includes every other weekend.

Job Description – Cook

Resident Nutritional Care:

• Plans, prepares, and serves nutritious, appealing meals to residents following orders, standards, and regulations. Washes, dries and restocks dishes, pots and pans and cleans kitchen/dining areas.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
• Must function independently, must be Reliable, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.
• Seeks clarification of assignments and asks questions when needed
• Self-motivated and well organized.
• Demonstrate integrity, imagination and initiative, showing appropriate manner and conduct.
• Ability to relate well to persons of varying backgrounds abilities and expectations.

Dress Policy:

Must wear Scrub Tops and Pants ( No Sweat Pants , yoga Pants , No Jeans except on Fridays that is casual day. All clothing must be neat and presentable.
non-slip shoes to be worn while in the Dietary. Must wear Hair net and beard net at all times while in kitchen and masks are required to be worn when in the presents of Residents.

Must be able to pass a DHS background study and fingerprinting
