Job description
We are looking for a full-time, licensed Assistant Engineering Manager to join the Boston line maintenance station in a salaried capacity. The successful candidate will supervise the operational shift and certify aircraft maintenance, ensuring Engineering can deliver a safe, reliable, efficient, and customer-centric operation to all stakeholders to meet regulatory authorities and the Company’s business requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, servicing, defect rectification and issue certification for aircrafts.
- Perform ground-based aircraft health monitoring before arrival to assess aircraft serviceability and respond accordingly
- Manage and assign certifying engineers and mechanics to perform aircraftmaintenance and certification.
- Manage suppliers within Boston ensuring smooth operation and following upon issues.
- Perform onsite oversight to performance of the ground handling third party suppliers at the responsible station(s)
- Perform budget and expenditure reviews
- Carry out internal/ external audits and create action plans for audit findings.
- Liaise with the Airport Services, Cargo and other Cathay airport departments to ensure maximum aircraft handling efficiency
- Help to build a strong and motivated team to foster positive team spirit and facilitate teamwork
Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and 5 years’ experience of aircraft engineering as Engineer or equivalent
- Management experience
- Experienced in Sia Engineering, A350, similar kind of aircrafts, CX aircrafts, Qantas and B777-300ER
- FAA A&P Certificate or any of the following licenses; HKAR-66B1 license, EASA-66B1 license or any equivalent foreign license
- Demonstrated expertise, management and leadership qualities
- Strong operation knowledgeof aircraft maintenance and ground handling activities
- Must have the permanent legal right to live and work in USA
