NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY

Job Title: Age Well Center Manager

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This position is responsible for overseeing the operation of a congregate meal site. The work includes supervising meal service, providing a safe and stimulating environment for the participant; and maintaining routine records. The incumbent assesses needs, plans, develops implements and evaluates educational programs, and prepares and submits a variety of documentation. The work is performed under direct supervision of the Deputy Director, Area

Agency on Aging– Nutrition Services. Supervision is exercised over volunteers and employees. Does related work as required.

Work Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: $18.8329-23.8377/HR

Location: Cortland County Office for Aging

Status: Competitive, provisional

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:

(a) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State

Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associates Degree or higher in human services or related field;

OR

(b) Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two (2) years of experience providing services to individuals in a human services field; OR

(c) And equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license is required. Failure to maintain a NYS driver’s license including driving privileges throughout employment will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.

NOTE:

Degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If the degree was awarded by an educational institution outside of the United States and its territories, applicant must provide independent verification of equivalency.
