NOW HIRING: Administrative Assistant II
Under the direction of the Community Engagement and Health Promotion Supervisor or designee, this position is responsible for performing administrative duties and providing clerical and customer service support to the Community Engagement and Health Promotion Section and programmatic staff as assigned.
This position focuses on providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Franklin County Public Health.
Duties Include:
- Provides direct administrative support to the CEHP Supervisor or designee. This role provides administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying correspondence, contracts, and purchase orders to internal staff in addition to assisting CHAT communities. Handles incoming correspondence, and creates standardized letters, notices, and mass mailings.
- Assists the CEHP Supervisor in managing and coordinating the agencies community outreach activities. The position will assist in managing the inventory associated with hosting or attending an outreach event. The position will also be responsible for maintaining a schedule of outreach events and coordinating the electronic sign-up system.
- Interacts with the public in person, remotely, by phone or email; they will respond to questions and requests for information or public records, answer incoming calls and assume receptionist duties when needed for the Section and the agency.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts to improve the administrative functions of the Section and Division. This position will be responsible for using quality improvement (QI) processes and/or techniques to assist with the effectiveness of assigned public health programs within the Section.
- Maintains designated electronic and hard copy filing systems including data entry, file creation, appointment scheduling, etc.
- Performs administrative tasks with entry, coordination, and disbursement of all data. Assists in development and distribution of program reports and data.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent required
- Five years’ experience in medical setting or public health setting required.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, customer service skills with the ability to learn new information quickly
- Experience in a medical setting or public health setting strongly preferred
Hiring Salary: $18.77/hour - $21.58/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
